About This Project

To celebrate 20 years in business, Obsidian Entertainment wanted to honor its team with a collection of custom fantasy-inspired gifts drawn from the worlds of their games. Working from concept art provided by Red Peg Marketing, the project focused on translating illustrations into physical, high-craft objects.

One of the collection pieces was a hand-built leather satchel based on a sketch of an in-game artifact. The build began with raw leather which was patterned, cut, dyed, laser-engraved and stitched into form. A canvas-lined interior was added with enough capacity to hold a laptop and a companion “spell book” also produced for the set.
