About This Project

Adidas commissioned two custom collector trunks for the Kansas Jayhawks basketball program, one for the Dean of Students and one featured as a giveaway on the Adidas homepage. The directive was to build a premium presentation piece that showcased team colors, tied into current shoe branding, and elevated the unboxing of a signed pair of Anthony Edwards sneakers and KU apparel.

The trunk body was constructed from birch with an internal drawer for layered presentation. The exterior was finished in KU’s icone blue, while the interior was painted in a complimentary peach drawn from the AE footwear line. The lid was built from maple to replicate a basketball court surface, complete with accurate graphics and a high-gloss finish.

An acrylic display slid inside the trunk, showcasing autographed Anthony Edward shoes Precision machining, vinyl detailing, and careful finishing work came together to create a one-of-a-kind presentation piece that brought collegiate heritage and Adidas branding into a single statement object.
