About This Project

In our opinion, the best (and only good) Indiana Jones movie was Raiders of the Lost Ark. For those of us who dreamed about being archaeologists as children the opening scene with the gold idol and the cave of treachery only heightened our fantasies of adventure. Fast forward a few years and we're still those small children, just.... taller. What better way to honor our childhood memories then recreating the Chachapoyan Fertility Idol.

This idol was created from resin and finished with Molotow and Alclad paint. If you've never tried Molotow chrome paint or Alcald metallic finish paints you should, they are hands down the best way to get a realistic chrome finish on plastics. Shout out to Adam Savage for being the one to turn us on to Molotow.
